Tip #1. No Bagged Recycling in the Recycling Cart. The sorting equipment is designed to only process loose recyclables. Give your recyclables a chance to come back as something new by keeping them loose.

Tip #2. No Flimsy Plastic in the Recycling Bin. This includes plastic shopping bags and plastic wrap (even if they have the recycling symbol). Flimsy plastic gets caught in sorting equipment and goes in the TRASH.

Tip #3. Empty Jars and Bottles Before Recycling. Remove as much food as possible and empty liquids.
